The West Lake course, designed by Donald Ross protégé and Pinehurst native Ellis Maples, is a traditional course known for its impeccable playing conditions and its TifEagle Bermuda greens that run 11.0-12.0 on the stimpmeter. The course opened in 1969 on a 700-acre site, with water features on seven of its 18 holes. West Lake will challenge and reward players of all levels with tee options ranging from 5,289 to 6,857 yards and its brand new 320-yard driving range with TifGrand Bermuda and practice areas for sand trap and fairway or greenside bunker shots.
